Dynabeads Carboxylic Acid for RNA Purification are monosized (1 μm), monodispersed, paramagnetic beads characterized by high speed to magnet and high pellet stability. They are intended for use with Dynabeads RNA Binding Buffer, for simple, scalable, and automation-ready purification of crude RNA produced by in vitro transcription (IVT). The combination is particularly suitable where flexibility and high purity are required, such as during the discovery phase of mRNA vaccine development and following the solid-phase IVT reaction with Dynabeads Streptavidin for In Vitro Transcription.

Crude RNA from an IVT reaction step is mixed with the beads and the buffer is added. The RNA binds to the bead surface and the remaining components of the reaction mixture are removed by applying a magnet and discarding the supernatant.
The bead concentration is 10 mg/mL. They are stored in purified water and may be recycled at least six times. Scripts are available for KingFisher automated purification workflows.
