Oligomeric aggregation inhibitor
Anle138b is a oligomeric aggregation inhibitor that inhibits formation of pathological prion protein (PrPSc) and α-synuclein aggregates
in vitro
. Anle138b prevents accumulation of PrPSc in brain and spleen, and prolongs survival of prion-infected mice. Anle138b exhibits neuroprotective effects in a Parkinson's disease mouse model and improves motor performance in an α-synucleinopathy model. Orally bioavailable and brain penetrant.
