Le sel disodique adénosine-5′-monophosphate est un nucléotide impliqué dans les réactions de transferts d’énergie cellulaire. Il est utile pour le rajeunissement de la peau en dermatologie et dermatologie esthétique. Il agit comme activateur d’une classe de protéines kinases appelées protéines kinase activées par l’AMP (AMPK). De plus, il est utilisé comme substrat pour les enzymes telles que la kinase AMP-thymidine, la désaminase AMP et la 5′-nucléotidase.

Solubilité
Soluble dans l’eau, le diméthylsulfoxyde et le méthanol.

Remarques
Sensible à l’air et à l’humidité. Hygroscopique. Incompatible avec les agents oxydants forts.
