1-Azakenpaullone is a potent and highly selective inhibitor of glycogen synthase kinase 3β (IC50 = 18 nM) and is highly preferential to GSK3β versus other cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) including CDK/cyclin B and CDK5/p25 (IC50 = 2 µM and 4.2 µM, respectively; Kunick et al.)
