Vinylacetic acid used in the preparation of strained nitroso Diels-Aldrer adducts which undergo a domino ROC metathesis in the presence of Ru-carbene catalysts and olefins. It is used in the synthesis of polyethylene glycolated boltorn coatings. It was used to study the inhibition of the enzyme-catalyzed conversion of D-tyrosyl- phenylalanyl-glycine to D-tyrosyl-phenylaline amide by non-peptide carboxylic acids.

Applications
L’acide vinylacétique est utilisé dans la préparation d’adduits Diels-Aldrer nitroso qui subissent une métathèse ROC en cascade en présence de catalyseurs Ru-carbène et d’oléfines. Il est utilisé dans la synthèse de revêtements Boltorn glycolés en polyéthylène. Il a été utilisé pour étudier l’inhibition de la conversion catalysée par des enzymes de la D-tyrosyl-phénylalanyl-glycine en D-tyrosyl-phénylaline amide par des acides carboxyliques non peptidiques.
