Dynabeads CaptureSelect AAV9 Magnetic Beads are high-capacity, high-throughput magnetic affinity particles for the purification of naturally occurring and synthetic adeno-associated virus serotype 9 (AAV9) used for gene therapy applications. The anti-AAV9 affinity ligand demonstrates good binding reactivity towards the AAV9 serotype. The magnetic beads enable purification using manual and robotic magnetic separators of the AAV9 serotype directly from crude feedstock in a single step with high purity and yield.

Animal origin statement

CaptureSelect products contain affinity ligands based on recombinant single-domain antibody fragments (VHH) created by a proprietary technology. The VHH affinity ligand is a ∼12–15 kDa fragment comprising the three complementarity-determining regions (CDRs) that form the antigen-binding domain. The ligand is efficiently produced in yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae by a production process free of any animal components (Animal Origin-Free).
