STEMscript™ cDNA Synthesis Kit is available with either oligo(dT) or random primers
Oligo(dT) primers anneal to the poly(A) tails of eukaryotic mRNAs, whereas random primers are used for reverse transcription of RNA without poly(A) tails, such as rRNA, tRNA, degraded RNA, RNA isolated from prokaryotic sources, and RNA with known secondary structures
